How to tell the real repo from lookalikes

AnyPS5 has no official website. Its home is the GitHub account boykopovar, and the only official builds are the assets attached to that repository's Releases page. Since the project went viral, other GitHub accounts and standalone sites have started using the AnyPS5 name, some of them labelling a single zip or an anyps5.exe installer as an "official download".

Getting started in four steps

  1. Download a release
Take the build for your system from the official Releases page. Windows 10/11 or Linux on an x86-64 PC with a Vulkan-capable GPU.
  2. Prepare your own app folder
You need a decrypted ELF executable from a game you own, with its modules in sce_module/ next to it. Encrypted SELF/fSELF files are skipped.
  3. Relink it
Run the relinker on the executable. Linux ELF is the default output; add --windows for a Windows .exe. Small apps can use the online converter instead.
  4. Run and read the output
The result runs as a normal program next to its libs/ and app0/ folders. When something is unsupported, the program prints an error to stderr and exits.

FAQ

What is the official AnyPS5 GitHub link?

https://github.com/boykopovar/AnyPS5. The repository description reads "Tool for automatic PS5 executables porting to Linux and Windows".

Is AnyPS5 a PS5 emulator?

No. The project describes itself as a relinker that converts an executable to the target system's native format, plus implementations of the PS5 system libraries, with no emulation and no separate runtime process.

Where do I download AnyPS5?

From the Releases page of the official repository. v0.1.0 and v0.1.1 were both published on September 28, 2026. This site does not host any builds.

Does AnyPS5 come with games?

No. The README states that the project does not include, distribute or require copyrighted software, firmware, cryptographic keys or proprietary libraries. You have to bring an executable you obtained yourself, in line with the law where you live.

Which games work on AnyPS5?

Compatibility is tested title by title and is very limited. Dreaming Sarah, a 2D platformer, has been reported as playable on Windows. See the compatibility page for details and the live list.

What PC do I need?

An x86-64 PC running Windows 10/11 or Linux, and a GPU with Vulkan support. Official per-game hardware requirements have not been published.

Does AnyPS5 run on Intel CPUs?

The relinker has a --to-intel option that rewrites AMD-specific instructions, and the online converter offers the same switch as a checkbox.

Does AnyPS5 work on macOS?

The relinker can output an x86-64 Mach-O file with --macos, intended for Rosetta on Apple silicon. The build documentation notes that the relinker-only build does not provide macOS game execution, so treat macOS as experimental.

Is AnyPS5 legal?

The project says it exists for interoperability, research, preservation and compatibility, and it contains no Sony code. Whether dumping and converting a game you own is allowed depends on your jurisdiction. This site is not legal advice.

Is AnyPS5 free?

Yes. It is open source under the GNU General Public License version 2 only.
